The Latino community can have the last laugh on Arizona's papers please law. If I was latino and lived in Arizona I would gather up my legal citizen friends for a sting on Arizona's papers please law. I would get two or three more people, probably male to ride with me (a licensed driver) around the areas that law enforcement habitually arrests people. Now the extra people riding with me should be prepared to be arrested as they will leave their ID's at home. There isn't any law that says a legal american has to carry an ID if you are not driving. It would have to be done in massive amounts of people in order to over load the Arizona law enforcement agencies. The added burden of the cost of processing and then releasing the profiled legal citizens will eventually get this law over turned. "Papers Please amounts to racial profiling any way you look at it. Are the Arizona law enforcement officers going to ask everyone for their Papers or just latino's??? Native Americans, Eastern Indian's, or anyone who is brown. If you don't believe me then get some really dark sun tan lotion and drive in Arizona. If you do make sure you are carrying your long form birth certificate and even that might not help. Especially if you are from Hawaii. I'm never going to Arizona.
